We appreciate your support and understanding. Be well.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

At the Springfield Family Center (SFC), we believe that no one in our community should go hungry, feel forgotten, or be left behind. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to serve thousands of neighbors with compassion, dignity, and hope.

But today, we need your help more than ever.

Over the past year, more people have walked through our doors—some for the first time, others returning because they’ve simply run out of options. Seniors struggling to stretch fixed incomes. Single parents skipping meals so their children can eat. Families working full-time yet still unable to afford groceries. These are not strangers—they are our neighbors, our friends, our community.

In Springfield, the need is urgent.

  • Our town’s poverty rate is 19.4%, nearly double the state average.

  • 7% of residents live in subsidized housing, compared to 3.3% statewide.

  • More than 30% of households are cost-burdened, spending so much on rent that food becomes a luxury.

As the need grows, funding and support opportunities are declining, placing more pressure on local nonprofits like SFC to bridge the gap.

We’ve stepped up. In the past year alone, we have:

  • Stocked a school pantry so no child goes hungry at night or on weekends.

  • Placed emergency meals at the town library and with community partners for after-hours access.

  • Continued offering hot meals, groceries, and support to anyone who walks through our doors.

But it’s not enough.

Our resources are stretched thin, and the demand is growing every day. With your help, we can continue to rise to the challenge.

As we launch our Annual Campaign, we invite you to stand with us. Please consider making a donation of any amount or becoming a sustaining donor to support this vital work month after month. Your gift provides more than food—it delivers hope, relief, and a reminder that someone cares.

You can give securely online via PayPal or Venmo, or by mail.

Together, we can make sure that no one in our community goes hungry or faces life alone. Thank you for being part of this community and believing in a better, more compassionate tomorrow.

With gratitude,
Trisha Paradis
